Dynmark December Newsletter: Ending the Year on a High 

Firstly, I hope this note finds you well and enjoying the festive season. It’s been a very productive year for us and I hope you have seen changes for the better in every respect over the past 12 months. During 2010 we have totally overhauled, updated, and added to our infrastructure in order to provide you with an industry leading, highly reliable, high capacity platform to support your mobile messaging and email activities.

Not only have we reached the end of 2010 with a state-of-the-art mobile messaging platform for our efforts, during 2010 we’ve also built an agency-style account management team to allow us to provide advanced customer account management and 24 x 7 support from our Dynmark Mobile division. Our software has also come a long way, but in 2011 we will go even further, integrating email and mobile messaging of all sorts in our Dynmark Direct application range.

So, all in all, a growth story on all fronts including sales, which we hope, by the end of the year, will have almost doubled compared with 2009.

Moving on to a quick peek at 2011. Are we going to slow down? Not on your life! In the first quarter we will be moving to new, much larger offices in Cheltenham and expanding our US presence. We have a major software release of Dynmark Direct planned for the second quarter. We are polishing off a major whitepaper looking at mobile applications, which is an area of our business offering that will feature in 2011, to be released early in the New Year. This will be the first of many whitepapers for 2011. We hope these help you get the most from your mobile-based activities.

We have also got some surprises up our sleeves. So watch this space! For the time being though have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Dynmark Attends the EMMA Awards

In last month’s issue we reported that Dynmark had been shortlisted for an award in the category ‘Most Effective Mobile CRM/Enterprise Messaging Campaign’ at the 2010 Effective Mobile Marketing Awards, organised by the Mobile Marketing Magazine.

Though our entry, the result of a joint submission with our close partner Carphone Warehouse, narrowly missed out on winning the award we are pleased with the amount of attention this campaign received at the awards. The featured campaign had a fotball world cup theme and was aimed at improving the relationship with Carphone Warehouse’s customers and building its contact list for marketing purposes. We handled the SMS aspect of this highly successful campaign on behalf of Carephone Warehouse and we’re hoping to have a case study on the website soon.

The award ceremony was held in London on Tuesday evening and Dynmark was in good company - you can view the shortlist here.

Platform Performance

During November, a total of 19 product updates were released as part of our on-going commitment to improving the quality of service to all of our customers. Updates worth mentioning this month included a major improvement to the import functionality in e-txt Web.

As announced last month, we’ve introduced a trust-based system whereby we allow our most loyal and highly trusted customers to buy bundles of up to 100,000 credits online. If you are a high volume user and would like to be enabled for purchasing of larger message credit bundles, please get in contact with your account manager or e-mail sales@dynmark.com.

The overall performance of our messaging platform over the past month continued to be high, with uptime for November at 100%.

This month we’ve been working hard on making the www.dynmark.com website easier to navigate as well as adding more functionality. VAT Change Reminder

We'd just like to remind our customers that the rate of VAT will change to 20% on the 4th January 2011.

The new rate will apply to all purchases after this date, so make sure you've stocked up on credits before the new year. Our online purchasing system is currently being updated ready to implement the change in January.
Holiday Period Opening Hours

We’ll send out communications about our Christmas opening hours nearer the time, but for those who like to plan ahead or intend to schedule campaigns over the Christmas period, here is a summary of Christmas 2010 account management and support availability.

Wednesday & Thursday 22-23rd December - normal opening hours
Friday 24th December - the office will close for the Christmas break
Wednesday 29th - Friday 31st December - the office is open with skeleton staff
From Tuesday 4th January - the office is open as normal

Product and service support will be available as normal 24 hours a day, apart from Christmas day when support will be handled on a remote basis. For technical support during this period, please call 0844 8440 415. For any other urgent queries during the time the office is closed, you can reach us on +44 7715 178605.
